Morning! Happy Hump Day!

This morning’s breakfast was a winner. I’ve been eyeing Katie’s breakfast pizzerts for awhile now, and with a little brainstorming, I created a pretty delicious one of my own. ¬†Sweet dough baked with whatever toppings you want…how can you go wrong?!

Berry Breakfast Pizzert (slightly adapted from Katie’s)

  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 tbsp. melted and mashed frozen banana
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • handful frozen blueberries
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. peanut butter, melted (for topping)

I mixed everything together, topped with blueberries, popped it in the oven (420F) and when it came out I drizzled the top with melted peanut butter.

Good Lord. This was insanely good. I almost felt like I was eating dessert for breakfast…like I shouldn’t be eating it! But, it was amazing and I finished two pieces in about 2 minutes. I eat fast. I need to fix this.

Funny Phrases

I try to check Google analytics regularly, but lately I’ve been slacking. So, the other day I decided to see how the little ol’ blog was doing. Nothing really caught my attention until I decided to click on the “traffic sources” tab. Everything seemed normal, until I clicked on “keywords.” I love seeing what people type into the Google search bar to get to my blog. I haven’t had any amusing ones, until now.

This is how someone searched my site:

“Does cracking sunflower seeds mean you’re a better kisser?”

First of all, I will never know how that led them to my site. Secondly, what?!

Now I’m curious to see if that’s true…

What funny phrases have people typed in that led them to your blog?

  1. Ok. Definitely trying that little breakfast concoction! Yum.

I’ve haven’t had too many weird searches – but one that made me laugh was, “Trader Joe’s is snobby.” While I do NOT think that (I’m such a fan of TJ’s), I think it was because I reference TJ’s a lot, and I had a post about snobby joe’s (vegan sloppy joe’s!).

  2. YUM! I need to try that ASAP! How do you think chocolate chips would taste in that? I’m thinking CC, banana, and PB…YUM-O! And I think the funniest one that I’ve seen is “start on your knees.” Whatever that means!

  3. Kristi says:

Okay… I think I know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow. That looks so good!

  4. Kate says:

I once had some get to my site by searching “housewives wearing aprons” and this week “power smile”. Funny stuff.

  5. OMG i need to try that pizzert. How long does it take to cook in the oven?

  6. I keep seeing Katie’s pizzert but I’ve never made it before. Yours came out amazing!! Definitely a winner by the looks ;) Is it filling?

  7. YUM! This looks fabulous! I also love that people are finding your blog through hilarious searches. Sometimes I check mine and think, “what exactly have I been putting out there?”

  8. Jenny says:

Looks so good!! Bfast is my favorite meal, but i never have time to make it. Did you do this the night before? Literally, this morning i grabbed an orange and a handful of Puffins to tide me over til lunch – yikes!
I’ve never checked google analytics but maybe I will start once I get a good amount of readers :)

  10. Chris says:

Well, I don’t have a blog, but on my sports medicine page, google searches for “celebrity apprentice”, “Lohan’s white dress in court”, and “nudist florida pics” have all led people to my articles. I definitely think the nudist one takes the cake. :)

  11. oh my goodness that breakfast does look good! :) man I have found three today that I want to have tomorrow morning, so hard to choose! I love that you topped it with melted peanut butter mm mmm :)

That is such a funny phrase, I don’t know about this month but “peed myself” was used to find my blog! I used that phrase when I referred to laughing so hard when I saw the Sundrop commercial while on the elliptical :P

  12. i am the fastest eater’s so sad sometimes because the goodness goes so quickly!
