Stuff I Love

I’ve been MIA since Wednesday. That’s pathetic, considering I was gone for two weeks before. I’m a sorry excuse for a blogger.

So, I need to share some things I like with you all. For lack of a better term,  the stuff I love.

1. Zevia

I tried Zevia at the gym. Yes, the gym. We have a healthy snacks/drinks vending machine and I couldn’t resist grabbing something when I left last week. I had no idea what to expect..,and the result? So. good! The best part(s): It’s sweetened with stevia, the ingredients are all natural and no calories. I tried the black cherry, and then this weekend I tried the cola (flavored with nutmeg syrup!) and the ginger root beer. This will be my go to soda, without a doubt.

2. Burlington, VT.

You guys may recall I’ve been here before.  I just can’t get enough of it! Chris and I decided to go for a mini getaway before he goes back to school. We drank Vermont beer, ate German food and roamed the streets and bars on Saturday night. I’m a sucker for New England everything, and this small city is gorgeous. Fellow New Englanders: Go here ASAP!…especially before it gets too cold to walk around there.

3. Kindle

I thought I’d be the last person on earth to get a Kindle. I just love books! The feel of the pages, that “new book” smell…OK, this is getting creepy, I’ll stop. But when my dad said his boss gave him one and he didn’t want it (?!) and wanted to give it to me, I was ecstatic. As soon as I loaded Harry Potter onto it (yep, read it again), I was hooked. I’ll still love libraries and books, but this thang is fantastic!

4. This dress

Just. because. It’s gorgeous. Or maybe because it’s cloudy and rainy here and it brightened up my day.

What is some of the stuff you are loving lately?

  1. I’m loving anything related to fall. I can’t wait to wear sweaters and boots while I’m scarfing down cinnamon sugar doughnuts and drinking gallons of apple cider. Man, I can’t wait.

I also recently became the proud owner of a Kindle, but have been unable to find the Harry Potter books in “Kindle edition.” Where did you download yours from?

  3. I have a Nook and I am in love with it…however, I definitely still have books that I read. I agree that there is nothing better than ‘new book’ smell! Don’t worry…you aren’t the only weird one out there! ;-)

  4. I’m totally with you on the feeling of books. There’s something about the touch and smell of them that I can’t get over, which is why I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go the Nook/Kindle route. Plus I like having a huge collection of books taking up all the space in my room ;)

  5. Alexa no worries about not updating! Remember that this is for fun and connecting, not your hw–and we still love you :)

I do love that dress ahhh! And Burlington sounds so fun~the looks of it reminds me of a place I really want to visit up in norcal! It’s Solvang–a Dutchtownnnnnn <3

  6. For some reason, my mouth just watered when I saw that Zevia can. I’ve gone years and years of avoiding soda because of all of the crazy chemicals in it– but this might just be my solution ;)

  7. I love Zevia, too! One thing I am loving lately is Dark Chocolate Dreams PB!

  8. I’ve always been a paper book person…I just love the feeling of it in my hands and the smell of the paper! But I must say the kindle does sound very convenient!

  9. Hi! I want a kindle so bad! My favorite things of the moment are my new pizza stone, cupcake corer (the best invention ever), and my new iphone. My brother got married in Burlington and I have to agree, the place is just awesome.

  10. I’ll be on the lookout for those Zevia drinks! I’ve made a huge effort to cut back on soda, so these sound perfect!

  11. Alexa, you are NOT weird about the whole book thing! :P I love holding books, and I too, love the smell of a new book. Being in a bookstore makes me happy, and therefore I smile like an idiot. Then, people just stare at me like I’m crazy… lol

  12. Ohh I LOVE my Kindle. Once I got it, I became addicted and have convinced almost every member of my family to get one too! And I’ve never tried the black cherry Zevia! I liked the cola for a while, but then I had real Diet Coke and it kind of ruined it for me… so maybe I’ll try a flavor that I won’t compare! And that town looks so cute! Glad you had a nice trip!

Lately I’m loving Think Thin Crunch bars… they are so good!

  13. Stephanie says:

I bought a Kobo (kind of like the Kindle) and I absolutely love it. I’m like you…I love books. Except I like the smell of old well-loved books even more than new ones. But the Kobo is fantastic! It doesn’t replace books…it just gives me another way to enjoy them. And enjoy them I do.

  14. Is Zevia caffeinated? I’ve been loving my kindle app on the ipad… makes plane travel so much more enjoyable! We just got back from a vacation where I had wayyyy too many chocolate covered raisins… definitely lovin’ those lately!

  15. I’m still addicted to book reading lol I feel so behind on the times :(

  16. I still do not have a Kindle- everyone tells me I need one b/c I read so much. There’s just something to me about the way an old library book smells and turning the pages that I can’t quite give up yet.
Love that Anthropologie dress. Kinda wish I had never seen it cause now I’m gonna obsess ;)

  17. I love my Kindle too! I bring it with me literally everywhere :)
Burlington is a lovely little town- I went to UVM my freshman year and then transferred because I absolutely hated the school… but liked the town haha

  18. Jordan says:

Zevia looks awesome! I saw it at Whole Foods a few weeks ago but didn’t try it. I’m gonna have to. Currently, I am loving homemade ice cream. Way too much for my own good.

  19. Kate says:

I have been loving granola lately, seriously im addicted :)

  20. I LOVE Burlington!! I’m a sucker for New England too :) !
