Good morning! I stayed up pretty late last night, but I was ready to take on the day as soon as I got up. Maybe those extra rays of sunshine we’ve been getting here in Boston made me feel better?
I haven’t had a smoothie in forever and I have some spinach I really need to use, so I figured that would make the perfect morning fuel. I use protein powder once in awhile, when I feel like I need and extra punch of energy, but also because today I’m off to the gym after work! Strength training will be the majority of my work out and you gotta have extra muscle milk for those muscles!
In the mix:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 c. frozen mango
- 1 handful fresh spinach
- 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 c. combined chocolate almond milk and vanilla soy milk
I really need to invest in a good blender, I get spinach chunks in my smoothies…yuck. I’ve been using a food processor- I know. Not the best idea, especially when frozen banana causes the smoothie to come out of the sides and splatter.Any good blender recommendations out there?
