Did anyone know yesterday was National Almond Day? I can’t believe I missed this! Almonds have to be my favorite nut. My Oma made the best buttered, roasted almonds (she even removed the skins by hand to make those babies!) And of course, I love almonds in yogurt.
I figured I’d still celebrate the holiday this morning for breakfast. I topped a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel thin with almond butter, wheat germ and a teaspoon of chia seeds. Julie was right, toasted cinnamon raisin bagel thins are fab.
